What is HFC and how does it work?

HFC or Hybrid Fibre Co-Axial technology is one of the latest networks and technology that serves about four million premises connected to the NBN network. This blog covers some of the most crucial technologies that help change the way the world works. One such technology is HFC Installation City of Salisbury. 

 

The first HFC networks that were built in the US were originally used to deliver cable TV services. After the internet arrived in the mid-90s, these networks were adapted to deliver broadband via a new technology called Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS).

Some of their advantages are that they provide ease of connecting, are super-fast, and are way more convenient. In all, there’s a great thing about HFC which is that the further network won’t require an overall change in the current network, there’ll only be more connections.
